Marcia's needle felted creations are made using a sharp, pronged needle called a felting needle. The prongs on the needle catch the wool fibers and pack them into a wadded bunch of wool. By repeatedly stabbing the bunch, fibers become linked together and form a tight wad. More fibers can be added by felting them into the wadded form. Different colors are felted into the wad to create the color variations on the surface. This process can take several hours to several days, depending on the size of the creation.
Molly is a felted corgi made for Marcia's sister. Contact Marcia if you would like a felted version of your favorite furry friend. Below are more examples of felted "look-a-likes".
